New Culture Victory

Archaeologists can be used in investigating ancient battle sites and city ruins for cultural artifacts which are considered priceless. New Policies and Ideologies

You can enter inside the Industrial Age or build 3 Factories and select your people’s ideology: Freedom, Order, or Autocracy. Every ideology grants access to more and more powerful abilities, and serves the different victorious circumstances in varying ways. Every choice you make will have an impact on your relationships with other civilization for the rest of the game. Two new policies have also been added. These are Aesthetics, which can improve the ability of the civilization in generating culture and Exploration, which helps enhance your abilities of spreading your empire over the seas.

World Congress

The significance of diplomacy is intensified and the alliances of city-states are more important than ever. Diplomatic landscapes can be modified through a new world congress that votes on issues that are critical such as implementing trade sanctions in oppose to rogue nations, limitation of resource usage, the world games’ host cities designation, and prohibiting constructions of nuclear weapons. Factors such as game-changing resolutions, vote trading, intrigue and a new lead-in to the diplomatic victory guarantees that the game’s end will be more dynamic than ever before.

International Trade Routes

You can construct your cities into hubs of international trade either by land or sea, creating great wealth and prosperity for your citizens, and at the same time spreading religion, cultural influence, and science. An increase in the number of trade routes is achieved through the progress of economics and technologies, the creation of wonders, and your civilization’s distinct abilities.

New Civilizations, Units and Buildings

Introduced in this expansion pack are nine new leaders and civilizations, each of them having unique traits, units, and buildings. Seven of these nine playable civilizations have been confirmed. These are Ahmad al-Mansur of Morocco, Ashurbanipal of Assyria, Casimir III of Poland, Gajah Mada of Indonesia, Maria I of Portugal, Pedro II of Brazil, and Srhaka of the Zulu (returning from previous Civilization games).

New Wonders

This video game expansion is set to introduce eight new wonders which include Borobudur, Broadway, Globe Theatre, the International Space Station, The Motherland Calls, the Parthenon, Prora, the Red Fort, and the Uffizi.

Two New Scenarios

This expansion also features two new exciting scenarios that gamers will surely love.

• American Civil War: In this scenario, you can fight the “War Between the States” from either the Union or Confederate side while you are focusing on the critical Eastern theatre of operations between Richmond and Washington’s capital cities.
• Scramble for Africa: In this scenario, you have to search for the great natural wonders in the heart of Africa as the dynamically-generated continent is explored each time you play.
